| OPTIMISING PERFORMANCE IN PROFESSIONAL SERVICES DELIVERY FOR OVER 30 YEARS |
| |
Has worked with lawyers for longer than he is sometimes prepared to admit! He works with clients who are committed to recognising the future of legal services will not necessarily be an extension of the past. By building close relationships based on an understanding of objectives Ashley is able to deliver insightful and businesslike solutions in a profession where changes were once resisted. Passionately committed to building increased profits in the face of mounting internal and external competition for services Ashley will deliver straightforward solutions to complex problems.
His unrivalled capacity for deconstructing problems has enabled firms to develop solutions to intractable problems including: how foreign based law firms can operate in new jurisdictions, providing unique compensation schemes for persons outside a partnership, assisting firms in recognising and servicing the 'invisible' opportunities in their clients and working through and alleviating factors causing deteriorating partner performance.
With a capacity to speedily identify and articulate 'road-blocks' within an organisation, Ashley is in demand as a problem solver, able to think 'outside the square' and deliver innovative yet simple solutions to management problems.
A prolific author of articles and papers on management issues Ashley is a long standing contributor to leading publications and frequent speaker at conferences in Australasia and elsewhere.
Prior to founding Legal Best Practice, Ashley worked in London with what was the leading firm of consultants servicing the legal profession. As an employer with over 65 staff Ashley has personal experience of all the problems associated in working in a service driven multi-million Dollar turnover business.
Having trained for the Bar Ashley has worked his entire career as a consultant to the legal services industry.
He understands that each assignment, whatever the size, is unique, requiring a bespoke solution. Most of his work to date has centered on identifying client needs and assisting in organisational change to build more effective structures designed to maximise performance, profitability and future growth.
